Talk about being blonde. How on earth can u leave an instrument on a bus stop?

How on earth it was still there when I went to look i don't know. Wile I had gone to look for it her deputy head had put her in the car to bring her back to look for it. But when it wasnt there he didnt then bring her round the corner to the house to see if I had got it.

Then to top it all when I took it into school for her lesson the secretary was so snotty - as if i'd wasted their time.

Aghhhhhh kids

Wow. I'm forgetful (the number of times I've had to go back somewhere because I've left my bag) but I think I'd notice an instrument. Unless it's a mouth-organ or a triangle...

mind you we couldn't say much seems that the other day between 3 adults, two big kids and 2 babies we managed to leave a pushchair in a previous shop we had been in and no one realised for about 20 mins.

What instrument was it? My sister once left a tenor horn on the bus. It went all the way to the depot and my mum had to drive miles to get it back. She was not pleased.

It was a cornet.

Yesterday when we said we need to discuss your punishment she said - what for?

She has also lost her mobile phone in her bedroom somewhere, but is she bothered? no! but we have told her tht she not getting one for christmas unless she finds the old one. Somehow i don't think she thinks i'm being serious. I wouldnt mind but theres £8 credit on it and i've got 20p on mine

Must be something to do with brass instruments then. Someone somewhere probably has a whole band made up of instruments left on (or around) public transport!

followthestarlover · 03/12/2005 23:04

how old is she?
I have to say, I wouldn't punish her for it.... we all forget things now and then (like the pushchair!)

i would however be pretty pissed off about the mobile!

Happened to me with a £3000 violin once. Left it on the bus. It wasn't even mine - it had been loaned to me by the girl guides!

I left a viola on the bus and the fine for getting it back was a % of value. Mum told them it was worth a fiver!

Depending on age I'm not sure a punishment is really necessary. We all can think of some expensive item we have misplaced. That's what insurance is for. Unless you punish yourself for forgetting things I'd just leave it, or else you will never hear the last of it next time you do something silly.
