My DD is, I think, quite a strong willed little lady and weaning has not exactly been an easy ride. She was eating quite well, a mix of spoon feeding and finger foods, but now she is pretty much refusing to eat any finger food unless it is fruit or something smothered in cream cheese. And spoon feeding - forget it unless it is yoghurt, then the mouth is wide open.
Sometimes I think, oh well, maybe she isn't hungry, but if after refusing her lunch/dinner (breakfast is normally okay) I something give her a bit of toast and that get wolfed down.
I really don't know how to deal with this. Is is too young to just leave if she won't eat and not offer her toast/yoghurt? Or should I just let her go hungry is she is refusing to eat something she has previously enjoyed?
