16 month old not good with other children

DD has a tendency to get really boisterous and physical with other children - she pushes them on their bottoms and hits their faces. I see this at groups and when we are at other people's houses. It is worse when she is getting tired/the group is quite loud and overwhelming.

She goes to nursery 2 days a week and I have never seen her do it there or been told of any incidences. I am going to ask them out right if it happens though.

I say 'no', remove her from the situation and say 'sorry' to the other child but it doesn't stop it happening. Any tips for toddlers pre talking/reasoning??

hi - quite common especaily related to being tired and/or busy groups- its probably a phase - my DS does it a bit - 17 months - I take him a way, pop him down on his bum and say a firm no -
if there is a certain point at the groups that it happens then you could maybe take her home a bit early or try a quieter group. do ask nursery but it could be that as it is quieter and more familer she doesn't do it that often
