Meal Nightmares

My DD1 will be 4 in Feb, she drives me insane at meal time. Her sister DD2 aged 16 months practically climbs up the highchair in eagerness to get fed. Unfortunately, DD1 just sits, mostly in the huff, pushes the food away and then says "mummy can you feed me". I have now said I will not feel her as she can manage perfectly well to eat dessert but cannot manage pasta bake/shep pie etc on her own. I try really hard to involve her, she mixes the eggs for omlettes, makes a nice shape for the bread to dip in soup etc. Am I being too hard? Sometimes we can sit for 40 mins waiting for her to eat something. Unfortunately, it normally results in me losing my temper which of course doesn't help anyone.... is it too early for a glass of wine yet!
