isn't he said the (lovely) Health Visitor at DS2's 2yr check.

She thought he was about 111kgs by looking at him - when he's actually 14kgs (I knew he was heavier than he looked but no-one ever believes me LOL).

Of course he was completely fine at everything - though point blank refused to throw the ball - so he's

(nearly) 2 and is 91cm (ish - he wouldn't stand still properly) tall and weights 14kgs

His brother had his hearing and vision, weight and height done at school the other day and is 5yrs old 111cm and 19kgs - wonder who's going to be the bigger of the two LOL.

I found out today that you can find out someones height by measuring from the base of their ring finger to the middle of the notch in your neck in cm's (roughly directly under your chin ) and doubling it :D

Twiglett · 23/11/2005 18:16

if you have a measuring tape that will measure from their ring finger to their neck, why wouldn't you just measure from their toes to their head

Twiglett · 23/11/2005 18:17

sorry, but that's a really weird thing for anyone to work out .. and the concept made me smirk

LilMissy · 23/11/2005 19:39

LOL I Don't know why its done, but its used it hospital. I was shown it on an elderly care ward where they all have trouble standing so that might be the reason It works tho which surprised me
