DS2yrs 2months sleep all over the bed in the night??

my DS is 2yrs and 2months, when he sleep in the night time he turned a lot of times and sleep all over the bed, i have to cover all the corner for not to hurt himself when he moved, i realy dont know if anyone experience the same?
i also have to put him to sleep as he dont want to go by himself i read him a story and try to put him to sleep after.

DD is the same age and ends up in very odd places in her cot. Is your DS is a cot or a bed? If a bed, has he got bedguards on the side? Would he be better on a mattress on the floor?

hi is in the bed but as i have just one bedroom at the time his bed is next to me and the wall so i am making sure to put a pregnant pillow in the wall side and cover the ends with the blankets. he can't sleep in the mattress on the floor as he still weak up for a comfort in the night.
