Though I put him in a play group when he was 2yr it seems not mixing up with others. initially he was not allowing anyone to touch his stuff., when i take him to the garden he doesn't want anyone on the slides. He just wants to play alone and needs an attention by family members all the time. I want him to play with other kids ... innovate.... and basically mix up easily

I don't think children have a huge interest in their peers until they get to about 3 so at this point I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I think that's fairly standard for a 2 year old, isn't it? My daughter stood out like a sore thumb for being actively interested in socialising at that stage.

does behavior has any kind of genetic effects?? as my hubby does not mix up so easily.

or things vary -- boy and girl are different at different age????. As i have seen girls more enthusiastic in making friends..

I expect genetics can play a part... but I really wouldn't worry at this stage.

thanks... will look forward for his further development.

Yeah, don't worry yet. Sounds very normal. My DD is pretty sociable at same age but she is quite unusual and they can stay unsociable till 3 or even 4.
