I have a screamer!

DS1 never screamed when he was a small toddler but 16month old DS2 is doing those high pitched screams at everything he is frustrated at. Help! DS1 and I can't tolerate much more.

How do you react when he does it? Your reaction could increase the screams or stop it to an extent, depending on what you do. What's your response to the screams?

my 22mo does the same, but if I acknowledge it, she does her naughty laugh. if I ignore it, she soon gets bored. Easier said than done in the evenings though Sad

I guess I try to ignore it but it is pretty difficult! Often he screams when he's frustrated, like a man comes out of a toy car and he wants it to go back in. I'm trying to work on his words so he knows he can say "down" rather than just screaming at the end of a meal. It is so wearing though, sometimes I will do anything just to shut him up!
