ODD/ADHD/TYPE1DIABETES

My 7 yr old has been diagnosed resently with ODD. It has been a daily struggle to try and stay sane. Just joined for support in these matters. My son also has ADHD and Diabetes. I feel so alone in these matters and would love some interaction with others struggling with these as well.

no experience i'm afraid..b ut bumping for you!

I would like to know what causes ODD. The psychiatrist just wants to medicate my son with only one visit. I have a hard time putting my trust in a DR. who after one visit labels and medicates. What do you all think? Any similar experience?

My DS has autism so can't help you with ODD and ADHD.

You could try posting on the Special Needs board. I'm not sure about ODD but there are definetly some mums dealing with ADHD over there. MN is pretty quiet at this time but if you post in SN you'll probably get some responses tomorrow. You could try searching the archives tonight and see what you find.
