My dd was 2 last month and has recently started lashing out and hitting. She hits me, dh and grandparents and has once lashed out at other children. I get down to her level and use a different tone of voice and tellher not to hit. She looks at me and then usually does it again. I then go and place her on the sofa in the other room (sort of time out)it is at thispoint that she starts crying and i walk out of the room. At some point thereafter she comes to find me and usually i get a kiss and cuddle (sorry). However it's happening more regular and i don't know if this discipline is working. She also headbangs. At the moment everything is heightened i expect because she does seem to be suffering with her teeth but she does generally come across as a volatile child - she's either up or down - not much in between When she's lovely she's really really lovely and when's she not she's well..... it's been a bad day!!! Any ideas or comment welcome.
