Move from cot to cot-bed - any first night advice for a smooth transition?

Hi there,

Pretty much as the title says. It is DD's first night in her cot-bed. Any tips for making it easier? She's 2 years old in a weeks time.

Hmm, a bit late for an answer (I hope ), but hope it went well.

If not, what did you do and what happened?

Personally I wouldnt do it - 2.5/3 is a better age.

Did you do it?

DD1 moved into her toddler bed when she was 2. We had spoken a bit during the week about how one day she would have a big girls bed like mummy & daddys bed. On the day itself we called her into her room as we had a surprise to show her... when she saw it, she gasped and ran over to hug the bed!
