My ds, just turned 2 is lashing out at the dog. He swings between wanting to hug and kiss him, and he does genuinely love him, but other times he will suddenly lash out, like today, he hit him with both hands and then looked at me and acted all shocked and then grabbed his muzzle and really squeezed him hard. The poor dog yelped and scarpered and i made ds stand on the naughty step in the hallway, which he didn't like and cried. He generally laughs when he is or has been naughty and is told off. This is my first child and i am sure that this is normal terrible twos behaviour, but i wondered, does anyone else have a dog who literally gets it in the neck and how do you handle it?
