my kids all seem to have gigantic heads and i was interested to see where they fell on the chart, but when i finally found a red book it only goes up to a year..

There are charts for older age groups but not widely available - paeditricians have charts for older children. If there are problems with hc it is very rare for it not to be noticed in first 12 months - though realise you are concerned about a problem as such

ahh thanks, no not concerned at all, just curious to see how they compared really!
maybe i'll just do a mumsnet poll and get everyone to measure their kids heads lol

it surprised me that my 6 yr olds head is almost as big as mine, but I guess their heads are giant compared to the rest of them and maybe don't grow much more?

My paed told me that hc does not change after 12 months (!!) which i found hard to believe - ds has a small head though has definitely crept up in size since 12 months and the measurements show this. Think it is generally true though that children have large heads in proportion to body size and it's the body including face/jaw bones that catch up
