I never liked huggies apart from at newborn stage. I used pampers or tesco own make ones.

whomovedmychocolate · 21/05/2011 20:44

Finding Pampers don't fit my DS at the minute and Huggies do so not so negative about them over here.

Sirzy · 21/05/2011 20:46

I have used huggies from the start and never had a problem with them. They seem much better with DS than pampers do.

It seems to me every child is different and different nappies fit different "shapes" and its a case of shopping around for the best for your lo.

bisopharm · 21/05/2011 20:46

i actually find huggies better than pampers. The pampers baby dry is rubbish. wont be buying them ever

5inthebed · 21/05/2011 20:46

Prefer Tescos ow to any of the branded ones myself.

cece · 21/05/2011 20:48

I just buy whatever is cheapest - can't say I have nocied much difference!

Pictish · 21/05/2011 20:49

Have just discovered Lidl nappies!

Our local little supermarket closed down leaving a choice between a long trek along to Tesco, or using Lidl. A couple of weeks ago I was stuck without nappies so 'made do' with Lidl ones, as couldn't face the walk to Tesco with three kids.
They're fab!

I second Sirzy on this. With DS1 (very skinny) Boots nappies were best, with DS 2 (I'd say a kind of average shape) I used Pampers and Sainsburys own and now with DD1 (lots of lovely baby chub) I'm using huggies with no bother.

notthewowy · 21/05/2011 21:16

on the other hand I was surprisingly impressed with nature babies when our tiny babie came out of hospital. We only had one pack, never tried pampers or huggies though. Just seems rather expensive to me.

Mummyloveskisses · 21/05/2011 23:19

Love Huggies too.... find them the best fit :o)

firstsupermum · 21/05/2011 23:33

i really like huggies, i'm using them for more than 2years for my DS no problem at all, i did used Pampers ones but I didnt like them.
but I also use sainsbury's ones they are excellent, i will never go for pampers.

MollyMurphy · 21/05/2011 23:55

We love the Huggies "Snug and Dry" line but not the Swaddlers as much....which is unfortunate because Huggies Snug and Dry Stage 2's are always bloody sold out at our shopping mart.

We hated Pampers Baby Dry with a passion because of the perfume smell which permiated our house and drove me insane.

Every time I have been lured by a sale into buying some other diaper besides the Huggies Snug and Drys, I've regreted it.

topkat29 · 22/05/2011 05:02

to me they're too thick

topkat29 · 22/05/2011 05:05

also I buy the cheapest-he doesn't know if he's wearing Pampers or store brand. I've had no trouble with leakage etc. with the off brands

olivo · 22/05/2011 20:15

I've used huggies for both of mine, right through to pyjama pants, can't fault them. Pampers are on offer in Boots just as often as Huggies, IMO.

WowOoo · 22/05/2011 20:18

I hate huggies too. Seem smaller then Sainbo's or Pampers and leak more.

I use Sainsbo's own. Bought in bulk when on offer every few months.

MamaChocoholic · 22/05/2011 20:22

love huggies nappies. pampers smell bad, gave ds1 nappy rash, and the pampers newborn had to be peeled from his skin. wouldn't change brands if you paid me :) (although the dts are in cloth daytimes now to save money).

huggies wipes on the other hand... hate them.

MayDayChild · 22/05/2011 20:27

Yeah pampers stink. And are for chubby (normal) kids and both of mine are skinny rakes so huggies fit much better around waist and legs.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 22/05/2011 21:36

Am onto my last few Huggies (from a vast box - gah!) with DS3 (13 weeks) - finding them blardy awful for leaks (cf Pampers - fab!) and v much looking forward to getting to the end of the box and putting DS3 into the lovely cloth nappies that are in the airing cupboard, now he's getting to the stage where he doesn't poo umpteen times a day Grin.
