Hi my 7 month old little boy is not taking solids very well and getting really worried. He still has lots of milk but does not seem very interested in solids, some people have said to me that he should not be having milk any more, but he prefers that to solids ..... really need some good advice:) oh and he is waking alot in the night still as well, but the strange thing with that is when i give him milk he does not really drink it and stays asleep any advice on that as well x

Hi kez31. I wouldnt worry to much about your baby not eating to many solids some babies are happy with there bottles and dnt need the solids to much, and i dnt agree with ppl telling you that your baby should'nt be drinking bottles now because thats not true:) and as for the night feeding have you tryed giving cooled boiled water at night instead of the milk as it could be out of habit that is why he is waking, hope this helps some way for you.:)

My 2 yr old sometimes still favours milk over solids. I wouldn't worry too much unless he's not growing and is not happy.
Get a HV to check his weight to reassure you.
Are you trying some simple foods?
Some flavours just might be a bit of a shock for him. It'll come in time.
He should still be having lots of milk.

Milk is usually their main source of calories until they are around a year old, stop worrying!
