DS2 will be 4wks old tomorrow. Has always been very snuffly and makes lots of hedgehog noises, but for the past few nights, he has really struggled to settle in his moses basket. He snuffles and snorts, then makes noises like he is choking-sometimes he brings up clear fluid from his mouth and nose an hour or so after feeding, and gets really distressed. He seems to want to suck all the time, but gets cross when I put him on my boob and the only way to comfort him is to let him lie there and suck my finger. He seems to settle better lying on me or next to me and has been sleeping ok in the day. Does this sound like reflux? Is it something I am just going to have ride out (neither he nor I got much sleep last night) or can I do anything to ease it? We already have his moses basket on a slope but this doesn't seem to be helping.

Would a dummy help? At least you wouldn't have to sit there with finger in his mouth.

My DS2 also made lots of noise when little which turned out to be a floppy larynx - nothing serious, just noisy. Please do get him seen by a GP though as it's worth having some peace of mind
