Sorry if this is a daft question but could do with checking... My DS is 14 weeks old and formula fed on aptimal. He has 5 scoops to 150ml as directed however today i was in a bit of a daze and put 6 scoops in. By the time i realised he had gobbled his milk down faster than normal, he really seemed to enjoy the stronger taste? However on reading the directions again it said to follow measurement strictly. I am now worried to death that i will of made him poorly! Any advice greatfully recieved!

He will not be poorly. He may well become constipated or throw up. But it will not cause him long term damage :)

Following on from this question........ We have been thinking about trying him on hungry milk... he has 150ml on demand which can be every 3 hours or evry 5 hours depends on his mood i think Smile The reason we are thinking of doing this is because we have tried uping the amount to 180ml but he just seems to get bored and stops feeding, but sometimes will want more 30 mins later??? Any advantages/disadvantages or advice welcome! TIA

I did aptimil hungry baby with my DD from about 3 weeks as she ate a mad amount. It is the same calorific value as regular formula but is made so it travels through the body differently - it is supposed to make them feelfuller longer. Have u chatted to ur hv about it? It worked for us but my DD still at 7mo has a lot of formula - she's always been big and I think she just likes her milk. To be honest I'm not sure how much of an actual difference it would make to you guys, but u can always give it a go & see?
