3 year old DS won't stop climbing on me and DH

This probably sound so mundane and silly but I am at my wits end! I have tried everything to get him to understand that he is too big to be doing it! Putting him down and explaining he is hurting me, Shouting, Ignoring him, I'm inches away from sitting on him to show him how it feels!

I feel awful because he gets upset and says he is just trying to sit on my knee or give me a hug (which I have no problem with and actually love cuddles) but as soon as he on me knee he starts standing up, climbing up on my shoulders ect.

sigh Anyone else or just me?

You have my every sympathy, I had the same issue with my DS at about the same age. But, we did just keep putting him on the floor and telling him it wasn't allowed. Then I would put him on the sofa next to me and let him cuddle me that way. It took a while but he did eventually get it

Just tell him that if he's not going to sit nicely then he will have to get down. As long as you follow through, and are consistent about it, then he will soon get the message.
