Hi, please anyone help me. My 20 month old son as for about 10 days been banging his head on the floor or whatever he is near, when he is stopped from doing something, told off, or I think frustrated.
He is only saying a few words, but understands I think what i am trying to say.

Has anyone any advice on how to deal with this, its hard to ignore and I have to do something as i don't want him to hurt himself? also, any ideas why he might have just started doing this?

thanks

No personal experience, but my brother did this as an older baby according to my Mum

The advice she was given was to COMPLETELY ignore it

She said that she used to slyly watch him do it sometimes and he always knew just how hard to do it... Grin

Second the above, my DS used to the same when he was that age - he was just looking for a reaction. When we ignored it he soon stopped!Smile
