10mo won't clap, wave or point

My DD1 was slow to get moving but very social from a young age.

She waved and clapped at 6 months.

DD2 is a faster mover, but she still doesn't wave, clap or point. she can clap, but won't do it if we encourage her.

I know developing reciprocal social skills are a marker for some development problems by, I think 12 months? Haven't really been worried til now but she's one next month and I thought she'd be doing one of these things by now.

She is otherwise very social though - smiles a lot, plays peep-o with a muslin or blanket, responds very well to attention.

Is it really a problem if she's not pointing or waving by 12 months?

I should say, she babbles all the time.

Lots of mama, dada and a couple of identifiable words.

I don't think this sounds like a problem at all. My dd2 was one last week and she started waving and clapping about two weeks ago. She has never pointed. I am not worried about her at all because she makes eye contact, smiles, and seems generally engaged with other people, which it sounds like yours does do. So I think don't worry!
