Screaming all day & night toddler

We are at our wits end with frazzled nerves&tempers. DD1 20mo and can have pretty bad tantrums. Better since she started walking. A bit unwell last week (Fever/off food/no idea why).

But behaviour unbearable the last week since she got better. Unable to put down. Screams for up to an hour at top of her voice. Meals a nightmare and refuses to go in high chair but will eat if on a lap.

Usually ok sleeper but that has gone to pot too. Been screaming nearly 2 hours now-on and off. Stands at cotside screaming and doesn;t lie back down.

I am not long back from work. Went in to give her a cuddle (and calpol in case it is teeth??). She is so tired she fell asleep on me in minutes. But when put down started screaming again and up standing.

DH&I have snapped at eachother and can hardly speak to eachother. Halfway through next pregnancy& almost regretting it. Feel awful for admitting/thinking that.

ANY ADVICE? Do we take to cotsides down and put something soft next o her? Do we just give up and cuddle? Do we keep going back and put her flat? DH is just about ready to restrain her so she can' t stand up but I stopped him!Do I go to the GP in case something is wrong.

Or am I just not coping very well&this is dare I say...normal?

if she's been ill recently I would be inclined to think she might still be feeling a bit rubbish so go and comfort her
