hi my 3.5yr old dd has been dry during the day since she was 2. over the last couple of wks she has started to ask to go to bed in knickers and on tuesday we decided to go for it. after spking to hv we were advised not to do lifting her for a wee n let her learn her own control. each night she has wet b4 midnight n needed a bed change but has then been dry till 6am. i think this has been quite good but any tips and advice would b great. thanks.

Ok personally I have never gone for the "lifting" approach. With my 2 DC (and will do the same with my third when he gets to that stage) I have waited until their nappies are dry at night.
Yes there will be wet nights, just make sure you have spare sheets close by (or even a sleeping bag they can hop into if they have had an accident) and also leave the landing/bathroom light on so they can find their way.
Definitely no telling off. My DS was night trained within 2 weeks of being potty trained but DD took an extra year.
It'll come good.

DS1 potty trained during the day very quickly, but seemed to wait until night to do his poo of the day, so we were wary about moving from pull ups.
We asked him to let us know when he needed so we could help him, and within a couple of weeks he was out of pull-ups. He was about 3 when he did this. HTH. He's only had one or two night time accidents, when he's obviously been sleeping so soundly he just didn't realise.
