Growling baby

Have done a quick search on here for this but can't find anything so sorry if it's a frequent question.

DD2 (5 mo) is doing a weird demonic growl! She looks perfectly happy when she's doing it and I don't think it's breathing related. She's also doing all the normal squealing and cooing stuff.

Does this sound normal? I've just been finding it cute but then I suddenly worried it might be indicative of something medical - anyone know?

DD1 (2.2) is a bit scared of her!

Thanks

Very normal - my DD (7 mo) has been growling, screeching, whistling and gargling as she finds out what new sounds she can make. Her growling is now a sound of frustration when she has got stuck somewhere or wants to be picked up. All forms of communication/experimenting with noises...don't be scared!

My DD (eight months old) has done it a lot in past months though not as much recently, come to think of it. She was doing tongue clicks a few days ago and that fad faded much quicker, but you will find them doing new stuff all the time and then dropping them suddenly, if she's anything to go by!

Thanks both! Seems to be less frequent already!

I got asked the other day by a more experience Mum of 4, if my one had started the growling stage. Enjoy!
