I cannot believe it, my shy socially anxious dd wants to be Alice in school production of Alice in Wonderland ShockGrin

It is a musical though and let's just say she is probably not the best singer in the school so she might not get the part, but she really wants to have a part - I am gobsmacked Grin.

She said she had to sing a couple of lines in front of the class today and was really nervous but she did it Grin

That is fantastic news! A huge breakthrough. I bet you're brimming with pride, and rightly so. Yayyyy!

That's lovely Smile I would never have dared sing in front of my class when I was at school!

Fantastic news :) ds1 may be selective mute, so glad to hear your dd has overcome it as she has grown. You must be very proud.

That's great - isn't it good when things come right.

DOG ds2 was painfully shy with a speech problem. He is now 13 and his speech is fine. At a parents evening recently a teacher said "C is really good at giving class talks. He has special gift for making the rest of the class laugh." I was Grin
