What the hell has happened to my DD 5

I am at my wits end with her behaviour, i have really no idea where my lovely, kind, sharing little girl has gone. Since she started School , she has become a nightmare. I have no idea if this is linked to her seemingly nightmare class, in which there does seem to be quite a bit of questionable behaviou, of course other children are not to blame, but where has she got the things she is saying and dong from? Maybe naive but I didnt expect the 'i hate you, you have ruined my life' speech till she was at least 10. Currently she is in her bedroom in complete disgrace after hitting a friend across the face, I mean wtf! she has NEVER been hit and never seen or witnesses this in her families presence..... I just dont know what to do.... and I fear I am handling it all wrongly.
Can someone please help me..

I feel for you GG, my dd 3 who is 5 is also going through a very shall we say 'challenging' time at the mo. She is rude & confrontational, such hard work. Yes I get the 'hate you' comment. I think maybe they're starting to grow up & challenge their surroundings!!

My 5 year old DS1 is currently pushing my patience to the limit which has today resulted in me putting his cardboard box "tardis" in the bin, after threatening to do so if his behaviour did not improve. I am at my wits end, DH's answer is to shout at him, but how can we then tell DS shouting is wrong. I have no answer for you GG, just reassurance you are not alone, the terrible two's are nothing compared to the fucking dreadful fives!!

It gets better, is a school thing , i have had it for two years in a row, my ds1 and 2 follow are in year one and reception, so just as ds1 became human human again ds2 joined the club, it gets better, its normal xxx

I have a 3.5 yr old DS too and we are going through some sort of 'stage' there too, so its hell all round... and now apparently, need to watch out for this fucking fives thing lol
