Help DS waking at 5am screaming

Is obviously still tired and I suspect not actually awake. He screamed at the top of his lungs for 30 minutes this morning, despite me cuddling him, shouting for me to sit down (I was lying down) and shouting something about a slide

We are now watching Peppa Pig and his has stopped, but clearly still shattered.

He's 2.2 btw

He's dreaming. They often start having weird nightmares and night terrors at this age. Ds got them. We cut back on cheese in the evening and this helped but I think it's a developmental stage tbh.
