DD1 was the same. DD2's nails grow really quickly though, last night it was like sharing a bed with Wolverine from the X men. I suppose it varies!

yep sounds normal to me. I'm was everlasting cutting DD's fingernails but didn't have to deal with her toes until she was 6 months old when suddenly- bam! gruffalo feet! I think her toes just kept pace with her nails for a few months.

Cut my DS's toenails for the first time today (21 weeks) Cut his fingernails twice a week though

Bratfink · 23/04/2011 21:49

Ds is 22 months. I have cut his toenails twice, both within the last 4 months. They seem to be self regulating

HoolaHooper · 24/04/2011 15:50

Never cut mine and they are 15m - my eyesight is terrible and by the time i've focussed, they;ve moved their feet. They are a bit skanky looking but they just seem to break off when they get a bit big and never cause them any pain.

SkipToTheEnd · 24/04/2011 16:36

It's not unusual. But does anyone else look after him who may have done it?

I know that sounds stupid but sil mentioned she'd not needed to cut DN's nails for a couple of months and I had to point out that I had done it when he'd fallen asleep on the couch next to me a couple of times over the last few months!

Mammie81 · 27/04/2011 11:50

I think the big toes are getting a bit gnarly now but the other nails are so tiny you can barely see them really. No one else would have done it.

How odd when I have to cut his fingernails every 3 days to stop him slashing his face, my face, my boobs, daddys ears etc [cconfused]
