Anyone else have a child who talks so fast you can't understand them?

When my daughter lost her 2 front teeth I really struggled to understand her and now she is talking so fast I have no chance HmmGrin.

Yes! and she's 14 Hmm

I have to tell her to stop and take a breath, then repeat what she just said at a normal pace. I have no idea why she does it, perhaps she's scared I'll walk out of the room before she's finished? [bugrin]

I used to be like this. My parents couldn't understand a word.
Speak perfectly clearly now.

DD does this, she is nearly 10. It is worst when she is reading aloud. We only understand two in five words.

My bf (33) talks so fast that lots of people can't understand her. I can, but then I have lots of practice.

I used to talk very very fast when I was little. Now I've improved to just very fast - I'm now 29 [busmile] It's a sign of great intelligence, just like messy writing is [bugrin]

Oh yes, DD is extremely bright but has beautiful hand writing.
