Not babbling at 6 months, should I worry...

Hi all,
New to mumsnet, just after a little advice / reassurance...
DD is almost 6 months and isn't babbling although does make some cooing noises, DS was happily babbling away with all sorts of mama mama dada noises at 5 months. I do know you really shouldn't compare... Do you think I should worry? Would be grateful for any insights into what other 6 month babies are doing, I just can't remember from the 1st time around. I keep now worrying that she isn't quite where she should be for her age, she's not really rolling, screams if she's put on her tummy and is generally just such hard work that I feel at the end of my tether a lot of the time and just can't think straight or see the good things. The lack of sleep doesn't help!
Thanks in advance...
xx

I'm pretty sure my DD was like this, she skipped loads of milestones - I think there may have been some babbling but no raspberry blowing, no two letter combos and she never did single words either. So she was pretty uncommunicative until 2 years old where she just picked up at the two/ three word sentence stage and went from there. She didn't like being on her tummy and didn't crawl either - and screamed blue murder if you ever put her down. She just wanted to stand and cruise. She's 3 and a half now and chatters and scampers all day long so all turned out fine. DS on the other hand hits all the milestones on time like he swalled the baby manual - is fascinating to watch, but given experience with DD, possibly not typical.
