When could your child....

About 20 times a day DH says to me "When is DD going to..."

And I realise I don't actually know!
Can you share some experiences?

Sit?
Speak?
Crawl?
Pull themselves up? Walk?
Watch a movie?
Ask for toys?
Get excited about Christmas or birthdays?
Say they love you?
Play happily by themselves?
Ask to go somewhere? (park? Nannies? Etc)

Or anything else 'good' you can think of :)

Ds is 2yo (last wk!) and so far:

Sit - 6mo
Speak - first word c12mo but v slow progress, now lots of words and some short sentences
Crawl - 9.5mo
Pull up - c11mo
Walk - 14mo (independently)
Movie - not really interested after 5mins
Toys - c12 mo (by pointing)
Christmas/bdays - got excited about his 2nd but didn't really understand just loved the presents/attention
Love you - not yet!
Play by self - I wish! Well sometimes he does for 5mins...
Ask to go somewhere - oh yes constantly... From about 22mo

Started calling me mummy at c19mo - I think that's a 'good' thing

They are all so different though in when they do stuff!

it varies a lot! i think you would be getting most of these by 2.5? but the variation for each one can really depend

Sit? - both mine about 6 months ish
Speak? - depends what you mean by speak? 1st words 12months ish but proper conversation more like 2
Crawl? - one was 9 months the other one later, commando crawling about 10 month and proper crawling nearer 1
Pull themselves up? Walk? ds1 10 months pulling up 15 months walking, ds2 nearer 1 yr pulling up and not yet walking 16 months (he has some feet problems though)
Watch a movie? - still doesnt at nearly 3 but if we got one he liked eg something thomas he probably would, he does watch dvd of tv programmes
Ask for toys? - they get them out themselves from well under 1 yr, but asking to buy them prob 2 yr? my 2 yr old gets out the argos cataloge and asks for everything
Get excited about Christmas or birthdays? - once they are 2, so the next bday to be excited will be 3 but my 2 yr old is excited for other ppls bdays (cos of the parties, cake etc)
Say they love you? 2.5 yrs
Play happily by themselves? mine did this from young eg when they could sit put toys with them and they would happily play
Ask to go somewhere? (park? Nannies? Etc) about 1.5 or slightly younger ds1 used to always demand to go outside and to the park, ds2 not yet

Crawling- (well pulling herself around on her belly)- 6 months
Proper crawling- 8 months
Sitting- about 8/9 months (wouldn't stay still for long enough!)
Pulling up and cruising- about 9 months
Walking- 10 months
Watch a movie- she's 2.8 now and will watch about half of a DVD in one sitting.
Ask for toys- always got her own
Christmas/ Birthdays- 2 and a hlf
Say I love You- Just under 2 I think
Play by self- from under 1 for a little while, but just now starting to amuse herself for quite a while (half an hour or more).
Ask to go somewhere- she would take her shoes/coat to the door from the time she was walking, but could ask for somewhere specific as soon as she learned the words- from about 18 months.
First words at about 14 months.

Mine is only 8.5 months, but he pretty much did nothing til 7 months.

Then sitting at 7 months, crawling at 7.5 months, pulling up at 8 months, cruising at 8.5 months. He's had a busy month basically

dd2 is nearly 6mo and is showing no signs whatsoever of crawling or even sitting. she blows a mean raspberry though.
