My DS would love to go to a dance class as he loves performing and has quite good rythm.Could anyone recommend what type of dance would be good? I was thinking tap would be fine or ballet.Any suggestions please?

DS, aged 5, has been doing a mixed dance class for about 18mths. Contains a bit of vario9us styles, although he likes the tap shoes best as they are good and noisy! I'm sure there's something similar to be found near you. He ddidn't notice that he was the only boy for about a year and even now, doesn't mind. The whole dance school picture is definately one to save for his 18th birthday-just him and forty or so girls aged 2.5 to 16!

Does it have to be the traditional type? Is there a local theatre group maybe that might do jazz or other types as well? They might be a bit more vigorous which might suit him if he's boisterous perhaps? Just a thought....

My son is just about to turn 5 and for the past few 2 months has been going to a hip hop dance class - its great fun, mostly girls but about 6 or 7 boys in there and he loves it. He especially loves the break dancing!
