standing on tip toe!!

Hi my daughter is 6 months and her toes are always curled over!! I constantly have to unbend them. She does straighten them when she feels like it but the majority of the time she has them curled. When i stand her lightly on her toes to get her to mimic the walking movement she has her toes pointed straight so she is on tip toes and she straightens her legs completley and wont bend at the knee (very stubborn)!!! Has anyone else experienced this?

don't worry about it chebbesmum, she will get the hang of it in time.
f she is not taking the weight on her feet by 8-9 mo then speak to yr HV but I bet she will.

DD (7 1/2 months) has done that for a while. She has recently started pulling herself up to standing on furniture (or anything she can grab) and quite often has her toes curled over. She's getting better though. I think once she is able to balance better then she'll stand properly.

Nice one. Im probably expecting to much of my bubs! I think because she seems so advanced sometimes that I forget she is still learning and everything is still new to her....bless!

you don't have to teasch herto walk btw - and you certainly don't have to unbend her toes! she is a very young baby and it will all come in time.
