Baby not noticing the cats

We have two cats and DS (four months) just doesn't seem to see them. They walk right past him and he doesn't watch them at all. He has no eyesight problems as he looks at other things but the cats just seem to be invisible!

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes! And the cat never seemed to notice the baby either. Until DD was about six months, and overnight they became fascinated with each other. Weird.

They definitely notice the baby! They try and avoid him as much as possible. I think they might have a shock when he becomes interested in them and starts trying to grab!
