Bathtime - when to lose the seat??

10 mo has had a seat in the bath for quite a while now. However, he can hold onto the side and pull himself out. Is it time to get rid of the seat and jsut have the bathmat?

Problem is all he wants to do is hold onto the side and pull himself to standing and sit back down again all the time!!

If he's trying to stand up then yes I'd lose it - it's a safety risk.

I don't know what to do about standing up though. My 2.6yr old stands up for every single bath, I've never been able to get him to sit down. He still gets clean :)

I agree, lose the seat. I've never managed to get ds to stop standing in the bath but I do have those blow up tap covers to protect him when he inevitably slips. As long as there isn't anything he can really whack himself on I'd just let him practice standing
