Night Pooing

(To be sung to the tune of REM's 'Night Swimming')

My little boy is 14 months old and only recently started sleeping through the night. However, every night for the last week or so he has been doing enormous poos at about 3 or 4 am. Of course it wakes him up and we have to change him and get him settled again (which always involves milk, unfortunately).

Any ideas?

hi my Ds2 -did this for a couple of nights when he was about 12 months -he had a bit of constipation and seems that the poo decided to come out then - it stopped once the constipation stopped

Tweak his diet, give him more water and fruit and hopefully he'll get onto a better "schedule" soon!

My son did exactly the same at around the same age, lasted a couple of weeks, it was around the same time as his poo changed consistency as he was taking on more solids on the solid/milk ratio. Think they need to resync sometimes. It was weird but didn't last long.
