Need some advice please!! Second child is not sleeping through. He wakes approx midnight and was settling himself but over the passed 6/7 months (I think cos nights are blurring into days now) wont settle until picked up, thought it was acid reflux/burps as hates being lay down, so set the bed at a 30 degree ish angle, doesnt seem to have helped that much. He then wakes arount 4-4:30 and wants milk, has this and then was getting him to settle but he seems to have stopped settling now1 I did some research and thought it might be acid reflux, I think he had pyloric stenosis as a younger baby, but basically he is waking and getting really distressed, arching back, screaming. got desperate and booked him in to docs, prescribed gaviscon 3 nights ago, passed two nights he had half a dose and just didnt settle, up 5-7 times across the night:( tonight we thought we would try the normal dose, he just would not settle, screamed, back arched, really upset for about 2 hours, eventually he settled, but not before he had boob milk. I had stopped bf at about 14 months, he just weaned himself off and would just have the odd 'snack' but now he seems to want it more - may be because he is shattered. I am struggling to understand what to do next, he is absolutely as happy as larry and cheerful during the day but at night a totally different child.
