hello my ds is about to be 12 months (although was 5 weeks early). not worried about any developmental milestones except aspects of gross, fine motor skills et very advanced. He only started crawling on all fours 2 weeks ago and does it very well now albeit at a considered pace up until that point i was obssessing about that!!!!! He is really trying to pull to standing but can only pull up onto his knees which he does alot. If i hold him on my lap he will take all his weight but tries to start walking (cant though wobbly). Should i be concerned with the not pulling up. i am kind of thinking he will be later because didnt crawl or roll until later (rolled at 4 months but hated being on tummy). He sits very well and can get himself easily into and out of sitting position.

any thoughts appreciated books say this should be mastered by now and that he should be cruising.

well my dd is 10 months and a bit and doesn't crawl yet and can only pull up onto knees. she can't sit up from lying down. If you use your ds' corrected age then that probably puts him ahead of her! I think you don't need to worry yet.

Sounds fine to me.. My DD definitely wasn't pulling herself up on her first birthday.
Ditch the books!!,
