My 3 yo dd's behaviour is getting worse and worse and I am starting to tear my hair out with her. She is generally very good but when she gets a bee in her bonnet she is impossible. Ds is 5 months and some of her behaviour comes from wanting my attention, but no matter how much time she is given, she wants more. She has started having huge tantrums and sometimes just seems really unsettled. Is it her age or a reaction to her "new" brother - I would have thought after 5 months things might be improving, not getting worse. Any ideas???

No ideas, but lots of sympathy. My 3 year old DS is going through a tough phase at the moment (I started a thread about alternatives to the naughty step...)
Like your DD, when he's good, he's wonderful and I really enjoy his company but he also has massive tantrums.
Mostly, I'm gritting my teeth, hoping this will pass and trying to stay calm and consistent.

My DD has just turned 4. Over the last year there have been so many times when we've said that if one of our other kids had [done that] we'd have blamed it on jealousy of the next one down. But she is effectively an only (nearest sibling is 19).

I think it is just 3

(although she is more likely to be jealous of a 5 mth old than a new baby, since they are more mobile and noticeable)

Probably both!!

Hang on in there. It'll get better as they both get older. I advise getting her out with Grandma or equivalent so you both get a bit of a break, and also if you can get some 1 on 1 with her and leave baby with Dad/Grandma that will probably help too!

It'll get better- first year of new baby's life is HARD WORK!

Probably a bit of both (she's probably realised he's definitely here to STAYGrin)

Also 3 is an awful age IM(bitter)E Wink

Thanks all for your comments - I know I'm not the only one with this to deal with! Today's battle has been only wanting to drink pink drinks and wear pink clothes. Ho hum.
