School hols are hard with 4 girls at home and we have just got a new puppy so we can't go out for hours at a time

Today we did go out for an hour to the park and they played games and did drawing but every so often would be so horrible to each other or fight over silly things or just wind each other up. I have had to seperate them (the twins) 5 times today and K has been sent to the hallway countless times with no effect

They went up to bed 45 mins ago and I have been up there 4 times already beacuse of jumping around or shouting etc.... dd4 is asleep so they know not to be too noisy.

Anyway went up again 5 minutes ago and they had all their books out (in the dark) they have nearly 100 ooks and had got every one off the shelf

I smacked them HARD

In tears now and going to bugger off and leave them to fend for themselves if this carries on!!

Rant over!! Jus had a fecking shite day!!

ahh sounds like a tough day & you needed little angels lady with her headset.

We all have off days - I had one of monday with just one DD, can't imagine with 4 all winding each other up.

Have a nice glass of wine & relax & leave them to trash the place. you can say, well we were going to do XYZ today, but seeing as you made such a mess & you can spend the morning tidying up instead - see how they like that.

Ach,there'll be no harm done.
Might even do 'em good!

paolosgirl · 26/10/2005 21:59

They can be little sh*tes, the lot of them, sometimes. It sounds like a baaaaad day, but it's over now, and tomorrow will be better, I'm sure

Lots of mumsnet and a serious amount of carbohydrate sounds like the answer...

QueenVictoria · 26/10/2005 22:00

Sorry you've had a bad day. x

magnolia1 · 26/10/2005 22:06

You know this is why I like mumsnet so much. I can whinge to dh and it's like water off a ducks back. Come on here and it's like actually chatting to friends and getting help/advice/sympathy etc...

And dh wonders why I am always on here
