My DS (3.6) has been completely continent in the day for nearly 18 months. In the past few days, he has been wetting himself again. Today we have had to change him 4 times. He is upset when he realises but says he does not know why he is doing it. My DD (5.3) did not have this problem and we are a bit puzzled. DS is not unwell, is eating and drinking normally, is not constipated and has not had any change in his routine. His urine looks and smells completely normal (probably too much info, I know, but I do not think this is infection) I have no intention of reverting to nappies as this is a regression and will cause him to lose confidence (and continence!!) Any constructive advice would be appreciated

Sorry unable to help but lurking as we're going through the same with DD1 (3.10) :(

i would wager either an infection (even if urine looks ok), or that he is just too busy playing to want to go to the toilet.

not that i'm suggesting you go back to nappies, but if you did it would not cause him to lose continence. you don't just get incontinent from wearing nappies.

but anyway, i would just remind him now and then that the toilet is there if he needs to use it.
also involve him in cleaning up
