My son wants my attention

My 4 year old DS is a bright and wonderful little boy who i love so much, but i seem to be having a bit of trouble with him at the moment because he has a baby sister (7 months old)
He was well potty trained, he would eat well and he behaved well until my DS was born.
Don't get me wrong, he adores his baby sister to bits, i can see it in his eyes, but he seems to be picking up ideas off her.
He is starting to behave like a baby again, for example wetting himself, spitting his food out, copying her babbling, and when he is pretending to cry when he wants something you can hear him actually saying wah!wah!wah!
I know he is just trying to get my attention and so i can understand why he is doing it but i don't know how to help him to understand that i love him just as much.
Does anyone else have this trouble?

I agree its totally normal. Whenever I have a challenge in terms of regressive or difficult behaviour from mine, I tend to offer new positive challenges to them - lets see if you can get all your clothes on by yourself (maybe he can do this already), that kind of thing. Whatever you'd like to see him do himself, that he might be on the cusp of doing, but hasn't mastered yet - lots of positive encouragement - its a big, sometimes brilliant distraction.
