Dd 10 months doesn't seem to like me!

I know I am probably being stupid but this is starting to upset me! In the past few weeks if she is being held by my her dad or her nana she won't come to me. She clings onto them like a limpet and turns away from me.

I thought it was just funny at first and would pass but it's getting worse if anything. I have done all the 'right' things - ebf, spent lots of time playing, talking and singing with her and loads of physical contact and some co-sleeping. She only sees her dad for 20 mins a day in the week and she only sees her nan a couple of times a week but she still seems to prefer them.

Is this a normal phase?? I'm just a bit worried that she will be like this for good now and that would make me a bit sad. I only work part time and am with her a lot so I don't want to feel like she doesn't like me!

Don't worry, went through exactly the same with dd, must be a girl thing and yes it passes. Some weird developmental thing I guess? For a couple of years she took it in turns to favour me or dh in turn. You are doing everything right, it may be that the one that spends the most time with dd isn't as appealing as a face not seen so much?Smile

If her time with daddy and nan is limited then there's your answer! She spends loads of time with you but she loves her daddy and nan so when she sees them it's a huge novelty for her. She doesn't hate you at all, it's just that there's some truth to the phrase "absence makes the heart grow fonder"! You're doing nothing wrong and i'm sure it's a phase that will pass. When other people are around my niece doesn't want to know my sister, but as soon as a new tooth comes through or she gets a cold it's "Mummy, mummy, mummy" and she wants mummy cuddles.
