Stupid questions re: hand sucking

My 3mo keeps sticking his tongue out randomly and is sucking on his hand like crazy. Its suddenly gone up a gear this week. He doesnt have a dummy at all so is he just substituting with his hand? It seems odd that its suddenly become his favourite thing this week!

it's fine - it is a developmental stage.

totally normal Smile

Mine too - I hope it's normal! He does it straight after a feed too so pretty sure it's not hunger, it's just like he has discovered he can so he's going to do it all the time.

Mine three! Seriously, who knew hands could be so interesting! And that sucking/chewing on them could create SOOO much dribble :O

ZimboMum · 27/02/2011 20:35

:o even!

Mammie81 · 28/02/2011 09:25

Thats good news. My mum keeps telling me to give him a dummy to stop it but he just wont take one! Theres dribble everywhere, I was thinking it could be teething! Will relax now!
