So when do moles develop?

I can't remember when kids start to get moles. My 3 year old has a large mole in her hairline, I think it started when she was about 6 months and it is now about the size of a 5 pence piece. I'm not worried about it but it is quite big so I'm glad it is covered by hair (just). It's the only mole she has. My twin boys are now 9 months and haven't got any freckles or moles. Does this mean that they are unlikely to get any large moles? I know it's vain, but I really don't want any large moles on their face.

I'm 42 and discover new moles all the time. So they can appear any time of life.

I have several on my face. I like them. They tell me who is looking back from the mirror. Grin

I noticed lots when I was about 6 or 7. I have loads on my legs and I can remember joining them up with a pen in the car like a dot to dot drawing!

i cant remember but i was freaked out one day when dd was a baby to find a dark freckle/beauty spot on her actual lip! she was young though, not more than 6 mnths

My 3 DSs are all quite moley ? but I didn't notice any on them until they were 3 or 4. If you have any concerns about your DD I'd get it checked out by GP just to put your mind at rest. Who cares if they think you are neurotic mummy, always better to be safe than sorry.
