Moving from pram to pushchair

Hi,

Not sure this is the right place but....

What is the right age to move from the pram to the pushchair seat? My daughter is 4 months old and although I like her to lie down in the pram to sleep she is really nosey and I think she'd like to be able to look around!

Thanks

Go for it. I think my DS was 3-4 months when we moved him up but then he is/was massive and outgrew the pram part of his travel system.

try it, if she doesn't like it you can always put it back to the previous way. but 4 months is about right to move i think? both mine were huge and outgrew the lying flat thing @ that age too though so thats why i moved them then

We did it at 4 months as she almost had her legs sticking out of the end! She loved being able to see the world!

It's up to you really.

I squeezed ds2 into his carrycot as long as I could because he just looked too cute. I got to about 4 1/2 months I think.

Now he's in the pushchair seat bit. Still reclined but he can look around as well.

Hi,
We've just moved to the pram as he hated lying down and not being able to see. He loves it and never grumbles (as long as we're moving) now.
I think it's fine as long as the pram reclines so they're not trying to sit upright befoe they're ready. We bought a head hugger too to stop his head lolling about but TBH I don't think he even needs it.
Oh, he was 17 weeks when we moved to the pram.
Go for it.

Good luck!

You could always use a pram that faces you, that way she can still look around but you can still see her.

My DD was 17 weeks too. To be honest she's never been happy in her pram lying flat so although it's against advice, I've taken her out in her car seat to be more upright.
She's really happy in her pushchair now, and I can still lie her flat when she falls asleep.

We moved DD2 to the pushchair last week (16 weeks tomorrow) after she whined and whined for a whole hour on a walk in the park - she wanted to see out!

I didn't put DD in the pushchair til she was over 6 months!!!

I think they are ready-ish at that ages if she seems curious then go for it

I had to put my son in at 20 weeks
put him in one day && his legs hung over the end of the pram lol Blush
