Saw speech therapist for ds2 today. He is 2.6 and has lots of words but doesn't form sentences. The most we get is 2 words like 'hold it', 'come on', 'my turn' etc. He has made improvement in last 6 months but speech therapist didn't say much today and asked me to come back in two weeks. I asked her thoughts but she just said it was a varied scale but he should be doing more by now. I feel a but down about it. He was a vbac birth and was in distress at points as cord knotted. They stuck those monitors on his head during labour and did some oxygenation test after to make sure he was ok. They never told me there were any issues but I can't help thinking it's perhaps my fault by choosing a vbac. Am I being silly? Would u expect SALT to have said more? Hearing test came back fine btw

My DD was monitored like that too...emergency c section...those are just precautionary measures like taking blood pressure from an adult.

Don't think of that. At 2.6 he is very young still...try not to worry too much though I know that's silly as you will worry whatever.

There are loads pf people on here with real knowledge about this kind of thing...so hopefully one of them will come along soon.
