Could this be teething?

I am, rather obviously, a first time mum. My 5 month old DD has suddenly become very unsettled and is chomping at her fingers and toys and is a little clammy round the head( have checked her temp and is okay). She is also a bit fussy when it comes to feeding and only really get decent feeds into her when she is dozy. Also, her sleep as gone tits up - from doing 12 hours a night she is now stirring every hour after midnight and waking up at 5am. And don't get me started on the naps.

So, could this be teething?

A little drool, but nothing major.

thanks

It could be...but I have to warn you that teeth can take up to 3 months to travel up actually pierce through the gum (unfair isn't it!).

Good luck with it - bonjela and calpol worth a try and boots do a powder which can be used every 2 hours, but I can't remember what its's called.

Hope you get come rest. x

Thanks. I find it more bearable if I know that it is down to something rather than her just being a fusspot for no reason, IYKWIM!

There are lots of fussy phases that babies go through that are often mistaken for teething. They happen when babies are reaching developmental milestones. If you go to www.thedwonderweeks.com there is loads of info there. These phases affect loads of things, but especially (in my case anyway) sleep! HTH

sorry that was meant to say www.thewonderweeks.com - dunno where that rogue 'd' came from!
