Middle of the night wees - 3 year old - help!

Hello, if anyone could share some tips I'd be deeply grateful.
My DS is 3.5. He has been out of nappies at night for about 9 months and until about six weeks ago, would go for a wee before bed and then do a wee at 7am when he woke up (yes, I'm not sure how we managed to get him to do this Grin ).

But for the last 6 weeks he is waking us up several times in the night to ask for a "wee wee" and it is driving us a bit bonkers. We have tried restricting his drinks in the evening (he doesn't usually have anything past about 5pm anyway) and also putting a night light in the hall so that he can go to the loo my himself (it is across the landing from his room) but to no avail at all!

Any tips? It's like having a newborn again!

Have you tried putting him on the loo when you go to bed? Even more or less asleep they often pee.

Or put a potty next to his bed that he can use without disturbing you? Does he actually do anything when he goes to the loo? Or is this about something else? For example, discovering that he can get your attention in the middle of the night and he rather likes that! ps: well done for getting the nighttime thing almost entirely sorted though!
