Teeth coming through on left but not right

Hi,

My son (10m) has had his first two bottom teeth for ages. About two months ago he got his first top tooth on the left. So far so good! Now he's got a second tooth on the left but nothing at all on the top right, not even a hint that there might be something coming soon.

Is this anything to worry about, do you think? I've been googling but I just come up with discussions about orthodontics.

Thanks.

My ds got his on the right first. All came through just fine in the end. His brother also got them out of order - but in his case canines before incisors giving him an attractive Vampire smile!

Hi,

Don't worry, teeth come through at odd times in odd places, they all work out in the end.

My son didn't get any teeth at all til he was 8 months old - and I was starting to panic. Until a GP friend of mine said 'Have you ever met anyone that never grew teeth? Have you ever even heard of such a thing?'

I stopped panicking and a couple of days later 2 bottom teeth came up at the same time!

He is 22 months now and has only just grown a tooth to the left of those bottom 2 - all the rest came through, we were just waiting for that one!

Your son will be fine I'm sure x
