Have I got a bulimic baby?? He does chew his fingers a lot but every now and then will shove them so far down his throat he chokes and is sick. Do other babies do this? I've never heard of it before.

Yes, my second baby did this. Babies are odd, full stop!

Yep, occasionally. I think it's because they don't have great control over their digits or co-ordination with their hands until they're older. He's just found some new play things and he's exploring, don't worry. He'll learn before long that it makes him retch and will stop doing it!

My nephew did this A LOT! but he was a very sicky baby anyway, had really bad reflux so it wasn't uncommon for him

DD did this - it was very upsetting - as she's just grown out of reflux and then started making herself sick! Eventually she found something else to play with/got more hand control and forgot about her hands.
